13-year-old Jamie Edwards from Preston, UK, has successfully smashed two hydrogen atoms together to make helium through nuclear fusion. He next plans to build a mini hadron collider.

I might point out it’s been done before by a 14 year old American boy Talyor Wilson in 2008 and the device was first invented in the 60’s by Philo T. Farnsworth. Read a little about either of them and I’m pretty sure I’ve just included both the inspiration for both Sheldon Cooper and Prof. Hubert J Farnsworth respectively.
